Just wondering what your thoughts are on WD40, which is what I use to clean up the metal parts.

If you want to clean her up make sure you don't use any harsh cleaning chemicals on her paint or you will turn the decals to silver    . A wonderful thing to use is regular old sewing machine oil. Rub it on with your fingers, let it sit for a while and then wipe it off with a soft cloth or cotton balls. Afterward you can use a good quality car paste wax (without pumice) to protect her.

For her metal parts I use a product called Maas Metal Polish. What a difference you will see!

Beautiful!!! As you can see by my avatar, I LOVE "Redeye" machines. Did you know that the motor can be removed and you can then mount it in a treadle cabinet and use it as a totally "foot-powered" machine? Happy sewing with your new girl :-)

That's so beautiful! Why can't machines these days be "dressed up" and look pretty?
