I agree - just blah... Although I am an avid fan of blue, when paired with that color green, it makes me ill.

This is a Dereck Lockwood pattern and I love it and as soon as he releases the pattern to the public, it will be in my grubby little hands. I don't buy kits, so will just have to wait a while.
I have not decided on all the colors yet, but the more you study it the more it grows on you.

I guess I am weird because I like it. I would never make it because it is to complex for me. I do think it would lool lovely in many other colors.

I don't like those two colors together. Most of the time I adapt the pattern to what I have on hand in my stash. If that is old fashioned, then that's what I am.

Only the young. My niece wants a quilt of lime green, purple and zebra!

Purple & green is one of my most fav combos - but not those particular shades. The quilt design is gorgeous though it would take me years to complete. My heart actually starts beating faster when I find a Keepsake catalog in the mailbox. LOL

I really like the color combination. I think sometimes we get hung up on certain colors and don't like to go outside the box. But then I am more of a contemporary quilter. I love the bright colors.
