When I know someone traveling to other countries, I always give them money and ask them to buy some fabric, as long as it's not out of hteir way. I have quite an international selection and I love it.

Quilt shops, Walmart, Goodwill, garage sales, friends who don't use their scraps, secret stitcher gifts, inherited fabrics, E-bay, etc. etc.

Another source that I use that hasn't been mentioned is from clotilde.com. I have always gotten nice material and their services are great.
