I love Kona solids. A couple of years ago I bought a bolt of parchment and a bolt of black. I have gone through both of those. It worked out so well that I bought another bolt of each.

I just bought some Moda that was made for the Quilt Across Texas Shop Hop and I have never bought a fabric that raveled so much. Its hand is wonderful, but I'm afraid it will be frayed away before I get it to the long armer. froggyintexas
I keep at least 2 yds of 5-6 Konas for certain projects. Like Bearisgray it is sturdy and sometimes harder to use when appliquing. But great fabric for borders and sashing.
Of course, no offense, but Moda solids are my favorite overall solid to use for backing, etc.

Another vote for Moda Bella here. I'm currently working on a king size clamshell quilt made of nothing but Moda Bella solids, and it is gorgeous, if I do say so myself.
eta: not one single problem with unraveling or fraying. Maybe Moda changed the recipe.

I'm using it now for a quilt with only solid blocks and am happy with it. I did get a chance to feel Bella solids the other day and they are super soft. I will probably try it next time I need solids.
