Layer Cake help

The layer cake I bought was "sultry" by Moda. I think I am going to cut each square on the diagonal and then on the diagonal again and sew the squares together and sash them with brown. I think it is going to look quite stunning when it is done. The layer cake is pinks, greens and browns.
