I didn't see your original post so thanks for chiming in on this. I have done a few twisters and using the scaps for the borders is a great idea. Thanks so much for the tip.

If you go to www.thequiltedcrow.com and go to the online catalog then type 'Thimble' in the search box you can see the template and quilt you can make, and if you type 'Tumbler' in the search box you can see the larger size. Also, if you then look up 'Christmas Stockings' you can see a stocking that uses the Thimble template. (One note, if you do have the templates, I recommend not peeling off the backing unless you absolutely have to. By keeping it on, it helps prevent the ruler from sliding while you are cutting.)

Yes and each one looks different depending on the fabric you use! A real neat concept!!!! Makes tablerunners to king size tops!!!

I just love that twister and have used the waste to make tiny twisters. I posted pictures on here a while back. I am ready to quilt my heart top now. My avatar is this one. Did 7 wreaths for gifts.
