There really isn't that much waste. They turn out so cute that you don't really care. I have made all four sizes and just love the designs that can be made. Fun!

Thanks to Earleen's thread a week or so ago, I made the heart ...see her Avatar....I finally got around to using the Lil' Twister and it's ready to quilt! I just smiled with each block cut and put on the design wall....really a fun tool and once you cut your first few I found for me, I passed the learning curve and fear of cutting myself with the little template and rotary cutter. There will be more twister's in future! Thank you Earlene for the inspiration!

I am going to take the Twisted Heart class (using the little Twister) tomorrow. It looks like fun and I like the border idea I just saw from luana.

There is waste. But you can use the next smaller version of the tool. e.g. if you use 10" squares at the beginning and use the large tool. Your "waste" i think they will be about 5" could be used with the smaller tool.

peel it off and get some sandpaper dots to put on the twister if you think it will slip!
Twister doesn't come with backing, my reference was to the Thimble Template.

I asked the very same question a few weeks ago, after I found that what looks like waste can be used for other things, I went ahead and bought the big and small twister tool. Haven't used them yet tho.
