my teenage son wanted a Pokemon quilt and I found scrap bags for a steal so I made 12" blocks until I ran out of fabric and then put stash flannel on the back. He doesn't give a flying wahoo about the pattern, just the cool fabrics and the soft flannel.

you also can't go wrong with D9P imho, fun and easy and looks way fancier than it is
