I finished piecing this one for my hubby last week, it's on the masculine side I think.

The pattern is called "Bali Sea Stars" and is in the book "Scrap-Basket Surprises". I did add sashing, cornerstons and the black and ivory border to the original pattern.

I've seen some nice "Hidden Wells" and "Tube" quilts here that could be appropriate for men. The colors can really determine whether they'd appeal more to men than women, generally. Good luck and show us what you make!

How about a simple rail fence pattern in medium/dark shades?

I've seen patterns that look like argyle...I've always thought that would be a good pattern for a man.
