I hit a gold mine with this link. The Eleanor Burns chat board had a message indicating a search on "autumn leaves" might be more successful. It was. I do like the Eleanor Burns borders on her leaf quilt. Thank you.

The long rectangles look like they are snowballed with 2.5" (plus1/4" SA) squares so cut 3" squares. If you look at the upper right, it is easy to do with the grid.
The top of the leaf is what threw me off. I'm sharing the block with others and I didn't want to guesstimate that part of the block. Thank you!

Make a 12.5" sq on paper. Mark off 1/4" on all edges. Divide inside sq into grid 5 x 5 sqs so that there are 25 sq's in the 12" sq. Going by design (except for right top corner, there are hst's on the points) draw angles. The right top "block" will have a longer top line and shorter bottom line. Then color or scribble the dark parts and you will have your pattern. Measure each section for size of each piece. Just remember to add seam allowances.
Thank you!

I saw this on Pinterest. I thought it would look good in fall color batiks. I am putting the sashing on now. I'm curious about quilting on the long arm, have never done batiks!

Does this block have to finish at exactly 12 inches?

Although this style would work in a pinch. http://quiltsbyjen.ca/a-maple-leaf-block/

Your help is appreciated.

Thank you.
I went to the first website and the directions for the maple leaf are on the page down below the picture. Will that not work for you?

For the first one you listed -

Theoretically -

If you cut your strips at 2-7/8 inches, and each "square" of the 5x5 grid finished at 2-3/8 inches - the block would finish at 11-7/8 inches.

Or you could ask someone to draft it in EQ and size it to 12 inches finished and use those templates.

On the Generations website, the links to the templates, etc. are in the cutting chart under the finished block sizes.
