I looked at my local (Portland Or.) craigslist but none for sale, I would have sent it to you! So sorry for your loss!

I have been afraid of Craig's List since 2-3 men were lured with job advertisements on Craig's List and were murdered.

Default lost machine to H Sandy

If you can't afford a Pfaff right now, try to locate a Singer 401A. I have sewn heavy drapes, awnings, corduroys, bedskirts, etc. on mine for over 54 years. You should find one for around $150.00 until you can locate your fave machine. Sorry for your loss and good luck finding a new old fave.

Maggiek in Nashville: This is the sweetest thing I have ever witnessed. I do hope "downtheshore" takes advantage of your offer. I myself have an old Pfaff that was given to me that I can't figure out and have so many other machines that I love that I'll never use it to it's full potential. So, another offer of a Pfaff from TN if you want to contact me, "downtheshore". You can try to PM me, but I am a computer dud, so be sure and give me your phone number and I'll call you back. ToniC tried to help me with some problems with my HV Embroidery efforts, and I finally gave up trying to answer her PM....JMiller will also vouch for my ignorance through the PM section. So I have sworn off the PM. I can get it, but I can't answer it. Anyway, I am so sorry to hear of your loss, and if I may help in any way, don't hesitate to let me know.....

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. We have hurricanes down here and their power to obliterate our personal belongings is unbelievable, isn't it? I so hope you find a wonderful sewing machine and that your life gets back on track quickly.

So sorry for your loss. I always tell my DH that if we need to evacuate that we need to take my machines and fabric and he says it's covered by ins. I hate the thought of losing them their a part of me. Glad you found another hope it works out great for you. It's awful to go thru what you have. We have been thru Hurricane Charley not as big as Sandy but destructive enough it's hard to get yourself back together not to mention the loss of your favorite things. Hugs & Prayers. Sue

I haven't read all the posts, you might want to check with your insurance co. to see if it is covered. Or did you have to have it listed separately to be covered? It is a household appliance type thing isn't it?

Sorry that you lost it and good luck with finding its replacement. Hope you like whatever machine you end up getting.
