I don't look at magazines for ideas or fabrics, it all comes from someone else's brain. Go out for a walk, let your own observations inspire you.
Online saves paper and I stumble on real "finds" because I start with a clean slate. I look for things that inspire me and love the challenge of finding other fabrics that work well with them.
One of my favorite cartoons is a Far Side, a flock of sheep with one standing on his hind legs in the middle saying "But we don't have to be just sheep!"
