It is gorgeous. Other suggestions were great. You could take it to a long armer and that person would give wonderful suggestions. I never find them judgemental. I take all of my large quilts to long armers. As I have worked diligently on piecing, I never feel that the quilt isn't mine unless I've done the quilting. The tradition has always been a number of people working on a quilt. The Amish have piecers and then quilters. That's what quilting bees are for as well.

As a longarm quilter, you can leave the sleeve on, but it is easier to quilt without the binding already sewn on the top. If you want to have this quilted by a longarm quilter, you will need to have it done by someone who will be doing hand-guided quilting, as opposed to a computer doing the quilting...that way he/she can quilt around the embellishments you have already put on the quilt top. Superior Threads has a zillion colors of So Fine solid colored thread that it would be easy to match your colors exactly or to totally blend in to the skirt of your lovely quilt to add texture but no other colors. She is beautiful and I'm looking forward to seeing her quilted and bound.

You're new to quilting???? Wow, I think you're quilt is really cool. I have never used a long armer, but I think there is a range depending on what they do. I'd talk to a few in your area. I really think your work is stunning!

I really appreciate the comments from you experts. I was having some serious lack of confidence moments with this piece. Looking at threads now from Superior trying to determine which would be best. I am leaning to the silver bottom polyester. I tried to order it from Amazon but for some odd reason they will not ship to my area. Looking online for other vendors. It is always something.
