OMG! I called Marshall's and asked about a fabric from Andover I was looking for. I was transferred to a rep and I was asked to send a picture of the fabric. I found a picture on line and sent that and the rep said yes there were a few bolts of it. Long story short, I got a 15 yard bold for $1.75 a yard! Even with shipping the whole bolt was cheaper then buying the yardage from any online shop I found it at! I'm planning a trip there very soon to stock up on solids and neutrals.

I love Marshall's! You can buy blenders very comparable to Moda for $2.99 a yard. They have a huge variety of 108" wide fabrics, solids, blenders, tie-dyed, 120" muslin and their Warm and Natural is a very good buy as well. It is well worth the day trip for me and my friends to go. I love their $1 tables.

I will have to Marshall's a try... I was lucky enough to hit a Connecting Threads sale last month and purchased two 3 yard cuts of 108" backing fabrics and they came out to be less than $10 yd.

I paid for Robert Kauffman new arrival fabric $3.75 per yard for 15 yard bolt. Quilt shops may pay less the more they buy. I sent you a pm.

I have bought their backing and it compares with the 15,99 yd from JoAnns. You also have a better selection.

You buy the yard in the retail side. You buy the bolt from a rep. Two different check outs.
