Mary Jos has been the top of my "favorite quilt shops" for over 20 years. A dear friend of mine grew up in Gastonia and at the time we met we were both living in Florida. We may several stops there along our many trips together. She has passed on now and I still recall the wonderful times we had there. I would love to go back, my last trip was about 8 yrs ago. If you all go...do not miss RO's BBQ while you are in town...the best southern style pulled pork sandwiches...they will come to your car to take your order and bring it to you. We always stopped there to grab some on our way out of town!

I've been going to Mary Jo's for over 30 years. I only get to go when I'm in the area which isn't often. My friends all know that a trip to Mary Jo's is a pilgrimage for me. I love that store.

I live in the Midwest and had never heard of Mary Jo's ... I went to the web site...OMG..... It looks like you can order on line..... any experience with that? The prices seem great. Quilter 1234

Love Mary Jo's. DD and I both quilt so we never pass up a chance to go with the other one to "just look".

What kind of prices do they have on batting? I went to their web site, but couldn't get batting to show up.

I have a brother who lives in the Raleigh area. I think I might need to visit him sometime soon. My SIL and I will have to take a day trip there. SHe is a new quilter and would love it.
