It depends on how the fabric feels. If it feels soft, I will use it. I gave about 4 yards of a metallic fabric away because it felt so stiff, even after being washed twice. It came to me via a purchase of someone elses stash; otherwise it would never have been in my stash.

I've not been a fan of metallics so have not used them. That said, I recently saw some fabric that had some metallic in it that I really liked, so I might give it a whirl.

I do LOVE metallic fabrics! Some are more subtle than others, and give just the right touch of elegance. Here's a pic of one I finished a few months ago. The fabric is Moda's Morris Holiday.
