Hi Everyone, I have a janome 9500 memory craft, love the machine, never really have done much with the embrodiery part and thought I should try to transfer some files. I had brought the compact flash card $40. Doesn't work in my pc (vista), so I was sold the external reader $45. My machine says I need format card, then I get an error. Anyone have this machine, with this issue or am I alone and frustrated?

Why don't you contact the dealer? I have had and still have several Janomes. My dealer is so good about helping me. Give yours a call.

The understanding I have is if you insert the card into the Janome 9500 and go to the emb, mode it will format itself. Try it and let us know.

You do need to format the card in the sewing machine and not your pc. When you go to load embroidery files, be sure to put them in the EM5 folder.

Going have to contact my dealer, machine probably needs to be cleaned anyway. How frustrating this has been, hope they will be able to help.
