A lot of people are not reading all the posts. The panel shown on page one is not the one with the problem. That one is correct. Later on we are shown the panel as she got it.
A lot of good suggestions as to how to fix it. You'll figure out which is best for you.

You could cut them apart, put sashing between them in the correct order. And then if you wanted, you could get creative with trims on the sashing, like rick rack or lace, to give the child something tactile to touch while learning the letters. Kids love to rub things with their fingers.

Too bad, others must have been off. I would have let them know, but you have done so much work already, I only see gutting them apart and putting borders around each block and putting it back to gether.

I think what the OP is saying is that it was cut to close the letters on the right hand side and it is also squew whiff as the seam allowance is not equal.
The only thing I could suggest is using a black border as close to the boxes as possible and making it the same on both sides... I hope that makes sense.

Now I see the problem after seeing the second picture. I would just cut the blocks apart and sash them before sewing them back together. I love the trapunto idea. That is going to be one cute quilt.
