while i think it is nice it is not exactly my taste but I know a mom who would just flip over these. I am actually going to show her them for a baby quilt she is wanting me to make.

Not a fan...I'm probably in the minority. I prefer more traditional fabrics.....now I'm ducking and hiding! LOL I lost all attraction to Moda, but I'm probably in the minority on that one, too. I've noticed a decline in quality over the years and have heard war stories on how they treat their designers.

Love the designs. The colors are so vibrant. I don't think I would use it in a quilt, though. I prefer the old reproduction fabrics from the civil war. I am trying to branch out of my rut.

MY LQS just got back from Market and showed me what she ordered. She stepped outsider her box and ordered this. I was glad. Brights/moderns are so popular. It will extend her customer base and I want that for her.

I could use it in making stuff for younger women. They would love it.

The sales rep said that when they showed it at Market, it wasn't only the younger people who liked it. She said that it found fans among all age groups.

Personally, my favorite design is the leafy vines. Those, I think, are not such a "big stretch" from some of the more traditional fabrics that I gravitate toward.

I must confess that I have no idea how to use the zigzag prints though. And Moda is not the only company who has those in their line-up. Riley Blake has three sizes of zigzags, and I think Robert Kaufman has one too.

I surprised myself by liking them all. But I do like the eggplant and plum fabrics the best.

I cannot say that I would use it in one of my quilts.

    Slightly off topic. . .
Do you happen to know if the designer is Vanessa Christienson? I think V and Co. is her company and she's the woman that designed the houndstooth quilt that I absolutely LOVE.

You can see a version someone made in red and white here if you are interested:

BTW. . . I love the fabrics and love the idea of making a picnic blanket and matching outfit for my daughter. Not all fabrics would look good in both.
