Like I'd use purply pinks, and redish pinks, or bluish purples and redish purples etc. So I just don't think bargello is right for what I'm thinking, but does anyone know where I could look at some pictures of monochromatic quilts, or have any suggestions for monochrom patterns?

How about doing a chevron quilt, and perhaps using white for one section all the way across, and alternating your color scheme on the other rows.

Whirling bowties does well as a monochromatic also.

the latest issue of quilt magazine has a pinwheel quilt with a monochromatic option on their website. Best part - free pattern!:

How about the classic timeless Churn Dash? Would look great in various shades of purples and pinks.

Or what about

Disappearing four-patch?

Oooh! What is the name of the pattern for your 3rd photo - the flying geese/pinwheel quilt? I love it! I would like to make one for my nephew who is being deployed to Germany on Monday for 2 years. Thank you. Kathleen
