  • Here is another cute one. Not sure what type of quilt you are looking for - baby quilt, child, teen or adult?

Monochromatic just means the quilt is made up of pieces of all one color. They're usually many shades of that one color, but still, just one color comprises the entire quilt.

I did a king size monochromatic double pinwheel in blues that was gorgeous. Sorry the picture is on my computer that crashed.

I might be missing something but can't any pattern be monochromatic?

I made a rail fence for my son with 3 different shades of blue. I also added a white to it. But you could do it without the white.

Some time ago I made a purple monochromatic purple quilt for a friend of my daughter. It turned out very nice. I used a free pattern from JoAnn's that consisted of 4 12X16" blocks in the center, then decreased in size going across and up and down the quilt. It was a very simple pattern for a queen size quilt and depending on the detail the fabrics is a good way to show off your quilting if you like. Unfortunately I do not have the picture on this computer, so can't show you.
I say go for it. They look nice.

I'm always amazed at patterns that have been done in monochrome colors, and how much I like them.
I really think just about any pattern will work, but I know this doesn't narrow it down for you
