I just think they are so pretty and creative. I love making them because I can quilt them and they always turn out. :) :)

You could add to the gift by giving a mug to go with it. My grand daughter loves ladybugs. Bought a cute ladybug mug and will try matching it.

I had not heard of these before...after a quick search on this website, I am ready to go create some mug rugs from my misc box of fabrics. :) My BIL dropped off a box of a variety of garage sale fabrics at my house and it is all small stuff...so this will be great for creating some fun little things out of it. Thanks!

I would definately use them. I am in the process of making one for every Admin. on my floor at work. There are about 6 of us here.

We use ours constantly. My DH was always setting his coffee cup on a folded paper towel until I made my first mug rug for him. Then of course I had to make one for our DD. Then they both asked me where mine was. My DGD is visiting and hers is sitting on the table along with ours where they stay ready to use.

I am thinking of giving some as gifts this Christmas with homemade biscotti and a mug. I also thought they would be cute in a Christmas fabric as a mug rug for Santa's hot cocoa and cookies Christmas Eve night.

We use them every day. Great for outside on glass tables.
Also, made a bigger one for my cat to put her treats on. Now when she wants a treat she goes to her treat rug.
