I listen to either public broadcasting, the sports talk/game station or occasionally music. It helps to have something in the background then I don't cue into what else might be going on in the house (the husband and adult son) that might distract me!!

He appears in Branson, MO quite regularly and does concerts throughout the Midwest especially. He is great to listen to... so light and upbeat all the time! At home when I quilt alone, it's anything but mostly "world" music - reggae, hip-hop, religious (Gaithers and Signature Sound are great), and easy listening (Westlife, Lionel Richie), and even some Akon (from Senegal, Africa). MUSIC IS MY THING so almost any kind works for me but quilting needs to be really special! It's my 'OTHER THING'... the main thing is to ENJOY IT!

I have about 2,000 songs in my computer and some nice speakers hooked up to it. It's in my sewing room and I listen to almost anything from classic rock to classical, or if I'm in the mood I'll get an audio book on CD's from the library to listen to instead.

Sirus/XM Radio online for me. Love channel 163 for the books and channel 32 for Christian music. Unfortunately they moved my talk radio favorites channel 158 and 165 to a higher subscription level online, those stinkers.

Neil Diamond is my music companion. Are there other singers? hahaha.....I also have a tv, dvd and tape player in the sewingroom. Everyone needs company. Oh excuse me - I mean along with the purrs and woofs.

When I do listen to music, it is 50s, 60s oldies and I sit on the stability ball for my balance and sore hamstring. Of course, Elvis always warms my heart.
Have any of you ever tried "Upchucky.com"? Sounds awful but you can listen to music from all the way back in the 40s on it with a constant change of songs. Here is the link:
