Does anyone know if the Crayola markers are like the Frixion pens in that the markings can come back in the cold after being ironed off? That's the only downside to the Frixion pens that I know of but I would switch to Crayola if they truly wash out and don't ever come back.

When you wash the Crayola, you are washing away the ink. It will not come back because of cold.

I haven't tested all the colors but the two I have tried, I did iron them because I was making half square triangles. I set the seams with the iron. I put the block in the laundry yesterday, and there are no marks left on the block.

You should test some first. Make a test block and proceed as you usually would, but use the markers. Press, then launder.

I almost bought some of these the other day, but I don't trust them, I just don't think I could bring myself to use a marker on my quilt, seems mighty scary to me!

I used a crayola marker on my quilt. It took me 3 weeks to complete the quilting. I used the brown. Pleased to report it washed out. This is a good thread. This board is so darn helpful!

You can test them first on a small test block...doesn't take much time, and you might find a new marking tool by trying this.

Good to know that. I am glad to know it worked out.
