My First Quilt Ever Made
#12
After 4 sons and a grandson I was so excited to have a granddaughter. I wanted to make her all the pretty girlie things I didn't get to with sons. But..... She wanted wrestlers on her last quilt and loves my bug jar pattern. LOL, maybe the next one will be a girlie girl.

Maybe you should keep it for your first Great Grandaughter!
or if not, then the first Great Great Grandaughter ... keep it in waiting and pass it along the family until such time!
In my husband's family it was 94 years between girls being born! When she was born, I thought my MIL was going to go overboard in the ruffles and lace and pink dept for her DGD (and it was the 3rd Grand, before a girl arrived, so MIL was starting to give up any hope!)
So your girl will come ........ someday! :)

Some little girl will love the quilt. Save it if there is a possibility of a granddaughter - if not donate it to charity.
I bought some adorable corduroy with dancing bears in pink tutu's before either of my sons had children figuring "some day". Well 20 years later and 4 grandsons its time to get rid of it.
My Mother made a beautiful quilt for first great-granddaughter and won awards for it. Its still in the cedar chest and 10 great-grandsons later there is still a possibility of that girl showing up.
Good luck!!!! (lol)

I'm raffling this quilt to send a little girl to camp. I'm so excited that I found a good venue for this quilt.
The family down the street that I adopted for the year...their 10 year old wants to go to camp, but doesn't have the money.
Immediately I thought of the quilt....so wish me luck. I'll let you know how it goes and how much we raise.
