    Default My first quilt top

This is the first queen sized quilt top I have done. I used the dress shirts from my friend's late husband. A local lady quilted it with a figure 8 pattern. She has an 18 year old Singer LAQ machine and is very affordable.

I was not really ready for 'prime time' when I started, but I am really proud of this, and my friend is very pleased. She and her family were never out of my thoughts the whole time I worked on this, and I feel blessed to have done this.

what a nice job you did with your card tricks. You are now officially a QUILTER! I have had this pattern on my list for years and now I have to get to it! A lovely job.

Very pretty ... and very old fashioned looking!
What a nice story behind the quilt.
However, you didn't tell us whether the quilt has gone back to your friend? or if you are keeping it?

I love how you put the shirts in this pattern.
