Brilliant! this way you are more precise with the glue. i bought the tips, and only use one. this would of been so much better. some have used the tip/end of a mechanical pen. same idea.
i know that some people think it is to much trouble to glue baste/and press.(my quilt friends) they would rather pin or clip the binding, and it works great for them!
but this works for me. my binding looks so much nicer when done this way.
i lower the ironing board to the height of my kitchen table and sit and do this, with some of the excess quilt on the table..i actually lower the board and sit on the couch sometimes and press..easier on my back!
i have also put two kitchen chairs on the back side of the ironing board, to keep the quilt /or large fabric pieces, off the floor. ( i have dogs)
this board is so great, so many will to share!

Here's a tip to keep your metal tube free of glue when you're not using it. I have some plastic hang tags from buying shirts, just put the snipped end into the metal tip and then pull it out when needed, works great.

Don't want to sound dumb but is this for basting between layers? Or the border? When you iron it does the Elmer's show through? Sounds like a great idea - I've never used glue to do anything but applique. Thanx for the tip.
