Sorry to say that is the drawback of all classes. In pre-k. children come home and tell parents their training is wrong because teacher so&so said to do it that way. My grandmother always said it takes a newly baptised person a year to calm down and realize everyone falls short of the mark of perfection. You were wise to point her towards this site. She may learn if it works for a project, no one cares how it is done.
Hang in there she will calm down.

    This is a great thread!
Y'all are so great - I've been laughing, crying & plumb mad with all of you.
Like has been said, give her time & maybe she will mellow.

Don't fret if she finds you just let it go in one ear and out the other.

[quote=Shelby]I don't really NEED all the rulers I have.

It won't be long before she's wanting to borrow those needless rulers!

Wonderful nickname. I have a post it note that says it is "from she who must be obeyed." I thought it was funny but I love yours even more. The same company also made another I have that says "my idea of teamwork is a lot of people doing what I tell them to do" as well as one more that says "I like teamwork. It's a great way to spread the blame around." I see you are in so cal. I am in Riverside. You anywhere nearby?

I learned to quilt from a lady that receives a blue ribbon at the state fair every single year. She makes the most beautiful quilts. Her rules? "just follow your heart deary, and try to make your blocks square" Considering the source, that sums up the "rules" for me.

Tell her if she keeps it up, you will send her to Quilt Prison, where no one is allowed an opinion until they have been a quilter for 20 years to life :)
