I don't think any of us on the Board think of other members as "strangers". We're all family here and I pray your chemo goes well.

I still can't believe that she went to so much trouble for a complete stranger, but this quilt is now one of my most prized possessions - both for its beauty and the love that went into it.

Wildyard - you are a very special person and the world is a better place because of your presence in it.
people like that is why I love this board, you get something everyday to warm your heart. :P :-P

Yet another co-conspirator comes out of the woodwork, lol. You have a very special relative there

Thank you, everyone, for your thoughts and wishes. I would appreciate it if you would all please add in another couple of people I know. Both have young families and both have just been diagnosed with lymphoma.
I can't take any credit for helping, just seeing her generosity. I'd love to help to put a quilt hug around someone in need!

Is there something special in the makeup of people who do crafts??? This is an awesome thing for a "stranger" to do for someone. I know many of you donate also. I belong to a Swwedish Weave forum also and the ladies and gents there are so supportive and complimentary of each other. When I retired I missed the commardity of people at the workplace. This group and others have filled the gap so well.
Good luck to you as you fight the Big C.

Well, I just asked akrogirl for her address, told her I had some fabric with horses I couldn't really use and wanted to send it to her. Giggles....
I told her in a note with the quilt, the reason I couldn't use it anymore was because I had sewed it all together into a quilt for her.
It was a blessing to me all the fun I had making this quilt and giving it as a surprise.

I had posted photos of the quilt in a seperate thread, but for those of you who didn't see it there, here are photos of the quilt I made for akrogirl. As I commented on the other thread, she is the one who should be getting all the kudos for giving me the opportunity to have all the fun I had making this quilt for her and surprising her with it. Smilessssss......
I forgot to get a photo of the label, so if at some point you want to get one for me akrogirl, I'd appreciate it.
Hugggggs to all and thank you for your very kind words.
