The cabinet looks like a '50's type. IMHO

I recently picked up a Singer 201-3 (free to a good home) and mine is made in 1947. The 201 came in four slightly different models. Yours looks to be the 201-2 with the potted motor. Mine has the belt driven motor. The 201 also came as a treadle. I'm loving mine because it will stitch through heavy denim and does not growl, jam or break needles when sewing in zippers in my DH's heavy duck coveralls. I'm also planning on dropping the feed dogs and using it for FM quilting.
