    I cut another piece of binding, attach to the original, press and sew. Happens all the time. AND since I'm a scrap quilter, the extra piece might be from some other fabric in the quilt. I'm not picky.

    To me I looks like you just cut the end shorter by 2.5 instead of longer by 2.5. You've see lots of easy fixes for that.

    Rhonda K for posting this link. I just finished making 7 place mats with ugly joins and with a perfect miter. Now I have only 12 more to go. I'll never make ugly joins again.
