Default Need borders?

I have had these blocks and fabric squares for several years as a result of a block/fabric swap on another forum. Decided to put some of them together into another scrappy. Question is....does it need a border? If so, what color do you suggest? As it is, it measures 42" X 49". Big enough to use with a wheelchair or maybe for a child.

The right side of the quilt is not as dark as shown in the picture. The light in the ceiling tract shines more to the left of the design board.

That's so pretty, AlvaStitcher! I think it's fine without a border, but I'd be inclined to experiment with some fabrics to see how a border or double border would look. Maybe something in purple for the main border. That purple solid three rows up from the bottom is a nice shade.

I rarely put borders on quilts anymore so if the size works for you, then go ahead and start quilting this quilt.

I like as it is too, but if you want a bigger quilt, looks like you have a lot of colors to choose from. Like the quilt.

I'm a border person so for me I'd say yes to a border plus a smaller sashing around the body in a light color and then maybe a black for the border to make all your colors pop. But that's just my idea as I'm a "Border" person.

I like it the way it is. Not really a border person.

I'd put a narrow black border to frame the block then a slightly wider border. No idea on colour.
