I agree with Jan about the secondary pattern (is that what makes it a D4P?) because it causes the eye to search.
However, after looking back several times at your pictures, the sashing makes such a clean-cut look and that is pleasing to my eyes. I think either way it will a very pretty quilt.

I am a dissenter also. I wouldn't use the sashing in this one. But if you like it, then go for it. This quilt is beautiful
