Need feedback on how to finish T-Shirt Quilt please
I am putting together a T-Shirt quilt that has some cotton squares in it as well. It is about 90% t-shirts and 10% cotton.....my question is should I add batting and if so what kind? Cotton or poly?

I have some memory quilts that I am making. Some I put fleece backing and will not be using batting. The other I have cotton backing and I did use batting on that one. I used the cheap poly that you can pick up at WalMart

I am thinking with different weight materials like yours, you will want some sort of batting to help absorb the lumps and bumps that will form from your seam allowances. I do realize T-shirt quilts are quite heavy already so you may wish to opt for a lighter weight poly.

I have made many T-shirt quilts and they are heavy. I use to machine quilt them standing up on a large table. I read about a woman who quilted her quilts that way. I always have preferred Hobbs becuase it is lighter and has a fluff to it that Warm & Natural doesn't have. GOOD LUCK !!
