I'm still going to go looking at others first especially as I never would have thought to look at this machine before.
I've also read the sewing pattern reviews and among other features, am impressed w the laser light, and the ease of sewing over bulky denim jeans seams! The thought of sewing HST without marking diagonal lines first is fantastic!

Continued success on your quest, and thanks for the update!

RE: the laser light! I did get a chance to use it and it is very impressive. You can use it to make those HST as you mentioned and also guide things to the right, left or under your needle. It also has a "pen" which you can use to make the machine stop say 1/4 inch from the end of your binding or anywhere with a certain area. This machine also makes sideways stitches! There were a few times when I was sewing that I thought I wish the machine could just go sideways and I don't remember why now. You can only do it with selected stitches: straight zigzag... I'm not sure if there were more but you could also go at an angle as well.
