Question Need help find quilt block pattern

A friend has asked me to help find a pattern for a quilt she likes. I have checked quilters cache but didn't find one that looks like it. I am hoping someone here can help her out. I hope the picture uploads okay. Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't know what the pattern is but I do like this one. I'll be watching this thread.

I don't know the name but it would be simple to draft on graph paper. It is 2 squares. The orange/red could be a simple square in a square (pieced like a 9 patch.) The cream square has the corresponding neighbors triangles pieced into each block. The tricky part would be keeping the triangles in the right place to complete the block next to it.
Maybe someone will recognize the actual pattern and post it for you.

I'm thinking an easier method might be to make the inside block a 3 space red rectangle/red square, white square, red square/3 space red rectangle, then add a triangle wiht trapazoids outside that

Then, again, maybe not

Love the block. Agree with both postings above about creating it yourself!
