can you add cornerstones? If so try the micro dot with black cornerstones.

You can make the connecting strips any color you want. Just sew them to the square you are using for the backing. I think a narrow black sashing would really make the patterns pop. Any fabric you like can be for the backing.

How about 2 borders, one cranberry and then the black.

I personally don't like the black, it feels harsh to me. The block that you're concerned about with the green. I would go with the dark green (almost forest) color. What about a navy?

I lean toward a very dark green, and I thought that darker red you had with the dots looked good too. I think the black is too harsh and the light colors too light.

I like the red with the micro dots. I say go with what calls to you. It's your quilt.

I think the black makes the blocks pop while the red micro dot feels homey. Which feeling are you going for? Look at me! or welcome home!

Thanks, I feel the same way. And I really do like the way the red micro dot looks with everything. I will ask my oldest son today at lunch as well. Some how he was born with an eye for color.
