I think its wonderful! Orange is the new "in" color. Are you going to wrap the blue from the back around to the front to create the binding? That would really make it pop.

Ok you asked for honesty and perhaps another idea so I'm seriously looking at your concept, the bob blocks, the orange and the yellow, the proposed blue. I can truly say not one other idea I had could improve on what you already have going. I think what you have is really great.
