Hah! It is indeed both tame and rebellious! You can spice it up considerably by doing a stack and whack with the blocks, or an improv setting too. Love making these with scraps as I have finally started storing scraps by colour...

Have you tried Antelope Canyon? That's a fun quilt to make. Here's a google link: https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...4dUDCAY&uact=5

I make blocks that are traditional and it kinda sounds like you are looking for more of a modern challenge. Good luck to you on your decision and please share when you make something

Every time I look at this book I get inspired to try new things - one day when I don't have a million UFO's to finish I'll plunge in:

It sounds like you are fairly advanced in your quilting journey and need a challenge.

I have this pattern to try. Look at the different color-ways. I like the black background and the colorful geese.

Wester Wilson,
“Another fun, easy kickstarter is a strip set: put together 6 strips of fabric that look great together, sew them together. Press that strip set out and then cut it at right angles to the stitch lines, in varying widths. Reverse every other one and stitch those together. That makes a really fun block”

Just wondering what size the 6 strips are. Imagine they are width of fabric. Are they 2.5” strips or are they random, too?

I have lots of scraps & this sounds like fun.
Thanks.

If you're up for a challenge, quilts by Jacqueline De Jonge and Judy Niemeyer are spectacular. Both involve paper piecing (papers come with the pattern). I have both on my mental "some day" list.

If you've never made a Lone Star quilt, that can be a fun one - so many different looks are possible based on color choices and size.

Is a favorite local quilt shop on line? I love to go on the site and look what they are offering. Often they have been to the big quilt jamboree market for shop owners and have the newest patterns and tools to sell.

The Antelope Canyon looks awesome! Thank you!

I've done some different mediums with quilts - not a fan - but thanks for the idea!!! Had I not tried them already, I definitely would have!!!

I like that pattern Rhonda! Would have to change the corners LOL I don't like them!!!! But the rest of the quilt is gorgeous!

I've done a number of Judy's PP quilts ... I need a break from PP LOL ...

These are fabulous thank you!!!
