I have the chance to pick up an antique, still working Singer model 15-91 with its art-deco cabinet for $20. I know its not a featherweight, but the web sites say that it is a dependable, work horse machine popular with quilters. I saw on eBay where they are selling for $199 and up. Is this a desirable machine? Should I go for it? Thanks for your help!

NOW NOW NOW. You will never regret it. It will sew through everything you can possibly throw at it, and makes a beautiful stitch. GO for it!

Well, I went ahead and got it! The light is burnt out and she's a little dirty, but she took right off when I plugged her in. Whole lot of attachments, the binding foot still has binding in it LOL! and a separate buttonholer. I think we'll be great friends.

good price; if the cabinet is in good shape, it alone is worth $20.
