Are you machine or hand quilting? FMQ or straight lines? How far apart does your your batting mandate?

What I would do-- free motion quilting of petal lines inside each blosom and veins inside the leaves, probably in a white or grey thread, to avoid innumerable thread changes. I'd either outline either side of the vine/stems or if I was feeling ambitious, I would do a very narrow wave inside the vines in a matched thread. IF I felt the batting called for it, I would do a gentle stipple on the background in white thread.

On second thought, I would be tempted to do pebbles on the white background, though I'd probably want to try that out on a small sample first to make sure it doesn't detract from the applique shapes.

Your quilt is beautiful. I agree with RST about a filler in the white spaces and I would be tempted to put simple line quilting on the leaves and the flowers to represent petals and veins.

Lovely quilt!!

I'd stitch around all the applique. Possibly some light definition lines of the tulips and leaves .. but depending on the size it may not be necessary and may detract. For the background I'm thinking a diamond pattern cross hatch, possibly even a double cross hatch. I think the wave of the vines calls for a straight line background that will mimic lattice work for these lovely flowers.

This is exactly what I'd recommend. Beautiful quilt!

Pretty top! I would machine quilt around the flowers and stems. I would add a few extra leaves quilted in along the stems if needed to meet the batting instructions. If hand quilting, I would do the same.
