Quick Quilt Ideas
Do you have a "go to" pattern for a quick but intricate quilt? I'm looking for ideas for future quilts (as if I need more on my bucket list!) The only one I can think of off hand is the double Irish chain. Anymore ideas?

I'm new to quilting and have only made a few, so take this with a grain of salt. 3 dudes goes together really well and looks great. I'm working on one now that's also very fast but looks great...just took framed squares, split them diagonally, mix them up and reassemble. Easy peasy, looks great and gives you a lot of quilting options. Depending on how large you make your squares, you can cover a lot of ground quickly. I have no idea what the pattern would be called, but I saw a gorgeous example on Facebook done in Fall colors. Here's my example, although not as nice as the one I saw and still in progress: [ATTACH=CONFIG]578356[/ATTACH] although you might want to leave out the dog...

Fractured Crystals by Linda Ballard is my all time favorite quilt to do. It is deceptively easy and fast to make. In fact, I used to teach a class at a LQS for this pattern, and almost every single person who attended my class walked out with a completed wallhanging in under 3 hours!

The Eleanor Burns Quick Trip is fast and easy, but looks really nice. I made one crib size (actually made 2 - the quilt is reversible) and they went together really fast. I am working on xlong twin size quilts now to use on our split king bed and it is going fast too. I think this will replace YBR as my default quick quilt going forward.
