I got Paco here for just under a grand, it came with all these toys...
This is a embroidery only machine. I have a dedicates sewing machine already. I could find no reason to get one that does both, why add the wear and tear to it.

Here is the link to where I got him....

I have a bottom of the line brother sewing/embroidery machine. While I do love it and it is very easy to use.. as others stated, I have out grown the 4x4 hoop.. Get a miniumum 5x7 .... also, I got rid of my other sewing machines , since this one is a combo, but I wish I had a disgnated sewing machine.. would be easier than having to change the settings ( altho this is VERY easy to do... just frustrating to have to go back and forth), for just one or two seams...

WOW what a great deal!!!!! Now how can I sneak another machine in with out Hubby knowing, LOL he bought me all my others so it would be no problem. Of course I would need another table and a bigger room. I don't have room for all my machines now. I keep one set packed and ready for classes and metings. I think he forgot about that machine GGG.

I had a brother and you couldn't pay me to have another one in my house. Now I know several people who love theirs but mine was a real lemon.

I was told by a sewing machine dealer that the cheaper models of Brother (or other brands) that you get from low cost sources (i.e., WM) are made with inferior products (i.e., plastic parts) & don't hold up as well. That's why they are cheaper. Of course, they would discourage people from buying a cheaper product than theirs, but I tend to believe it.

Many machines now have plastic/nylon parts. has nothing to do with them being sold at WM or any other place

I have a quilt designer 1 machine and love it it's 6 yrs old and never any trouble just cleanings every 2 yrs. I also have a husquvarna embrodidery machine and its equally good. It was $900.00 when I bought it 5 yrs ago. Good luck with all the choices out there.

I just upgraded from a Janome Memory Craft 8000 bought 20 years ago to a MC 11000 love both of them. The 11000 has larger hoops and more bells and whistles and it is a bit more expensive than the brother.
