I have been sewing for about 53 years--made most of my own clothes and my children's clothes when they came along. Quilting for about 27 years serious for about 15 years. Obsessed for the past 10 years.

If you count the very first time I hand pieced little squares into a 9 patch when I was around 8 years old, It would be 66 years. I have made quilts off and on ever since. A lot the first 12 years of marriage and took a break and quiet a bit the last 12 years.

I started sewing about 50 years ago -- mostly clothes and home dec items. It's been in the last 10 years that I have gotten seriously into quilting. (Although I still buy more fabric than I actually utilize!)
