There is a new quilt store in the Denver area that buys quality quilting fabric from its customers for $6 a pound and sells it for $5 a yard. This is quality fabric--Hoffman, Kona, etc. It is a great way for quilters to sell unwanted fabric and buy fabric that may be out-of-production. I went to the store for the first time today and bought 13 yards of fabric for $72 dollars including tax. It doesn't make any difference if the fabric is batik, blenders, novelty, etc. I was amazed at the variety of the fabrics--and even recognized a few patterns in my own stash! The store also sells gently used rulers--$4--cutting mats, quilting books, and patterns. What do you think of this idea???
