I just ordered a "stack" to try them and I was suitably impressed! I am not a huge fan of their regular fabric *shhhhhh....don't tell anyone*, but I really do like these. They are a little bit thin, but perfectly fine for applique, which is what I am using them for. Order a stack or strip set...its not much and you can see for yourself.

I just received some and they are not bad. I have a lot of batiks to compare. The colors are beautiful!

The Moda Bali Pop strips are great to work with. They are a nice weight and love the colors that blend together so well.

I purchased a couple different ones from connecting threads. Put them side by side and after washing both could not tell much differance in the "hand". I have sewed with them and they were great. Connecting Threads have some beautiful new ones in their catalog

Z&S fabrics is having a short-time sale on Hoffman batiks and the end up being $3.99 per yard. I have ordered from Z&S many times and I like their quick service and quality fabrics. Their current sale extends way beyond the batiks--I think all fabrics are 25% off right now. But please check their website to verify this. Also, all sale prices are taken off AFTER you check out--this can be a little confusing if you aren't used to it. Here is a link to their home page (I hope I did this right):

Thank you for your question, since I was also curious about them. After reading all the answers, I have made up my mind and think I will also pass on the Connecting Threads batiks. They are beautiful, but most of my quilts are for use and not hanging.

Thanks for all the replys, and I didn't know about Z+S fabrics, I'll give them a try.

I've used Connecting Threads batiks and love them. Have been drooling on the new ones. May just have to order some.
