    Default New travel iron

I have been using the Rowenta travel iron for pressing short seams when piecing for several years. But upon reading the posts about them spontaneously catching fire I've been very nervous about it. The heavy rubber thing around the cord where it enters the iron had split also. Happy accident -- I accidentally knocked the thing off my ironing table yesterday and the handle broke. I ordered a Conair travel iron from Amazon. Hope it is safer! I'll let you know how I like it when it arrives.
