Haven't been to JoAnn's in over a month, since I had knee replacement. My husband said that he can't believe JoAnn's hasn't called looking for me since I was usually there at least twice a week. I told him, "Think of all the money I've saved this month." I'm venturing out tomorrow for the dentist and JoAnn's is at the top of my list.

Our Joann's is supposed to be moving to a larger location this fall. I can't wait. Their location is too small and it's kind of creepy feeling maybe because it's so crowded. I was in one in San Jose CA and was amazed at the difference.

Gee whiz I thought we were getting a new store instead of having to go to Joanns! Shoot. I pray for some competition in our area!

I, too, have been shopping my stash and really haven't needed anything recently. I do have to go to Joanns sometime this week to buy some black twill tape or 1" gross-grain ribbon for a project I'm working on. I'll send your regards...LOL

You could shop at my house too......if only there were signs to the right section!

I wish I had someone to shop in my stash. I have so much fabric I will never be able to use it all. I will stay open 24/7, LOL.

My car definitely knows the way from my house to JoAnn's. I think there's probably a groove in the road now; just put the car in neutral and it'd probably roll there all on its own! It's funny...I regularly find myself helping other shoppers find stuff - I think I know the store's layout better than some of the employees do!

I live within an hour's drive of Mary Jo's. One day My husband came into my sewing room and commented, "I didn't know that Mary Jo's had moved here."

So; I rest my case. One of my greatest pleasures (and weaknesses) is fabric and notions. We moved to a retirement home 2 years ago and I refused to go if I couldn't take my cloth. We were lucky to find a cottage there with 2 bedrooms, one of which is a wonderful sewing room. However, my husband had smoked cigars for years, so I washed, ironed, and folded all my precious cloth, adding soda to the water to remove all cigar odor.

There was almost an "oops" as we, with the help of our children and sons-in-law, were packing up to move. One day I noticed several black garbage bags out by the garbage can. At first I just shrugged my shoulders, but something told me to investigate the contents of he bags. Thank goodness I did---they contained my sewing notions, interfacing, etc.!

I'm always amazed when I clean and reorganize my sewing room. It's like I've out shopping as I always find something I'd forgotten I had! Glad you're able to find what you need to finish your projects. Makes you feel like you've saved money by not going.

Good job using your stash, I have been avoiding all stores that have fabric, due to me not having room anymore in the sewing room. I really am attempting to use my stash...so far so good.
