Your fabrics are beautiful! And I love the block. I understand what you mean about the strips matching, and I think it would probably drive me nuts, too. I think we just have the idea that the stripes are supposed to match, but I agree with everyone else. And I have a feeling that if you did make all the stripes match up, the resulting quilt would not be as charming and enjoyable to look at as it will just putting them "how they fall." Just do it how you enjoy doing it. It's supposed to be fun, not a job! And do post the pics when you are done. It's going to be beautiful!

Great block! Good use of the stripes. Had to look really hard at your points. Don't be so hard on yourself. Yes Yes to starching the triangles. You will love the difference. Send more pics as you progress.

Don't worry about those pesky stripes! They'll just blend right in when you get a bunch of the blocks together.

I found that if I cut stripes at an angle they don't match and it gives a little more interest to the block. YOur block is beautiful. You might want to give the tube cutting a try, it was just posted recently. How did you get your pictures to show up the way they do. you must have computer and quilting skills- what else can you do.

I wouldn't try to match up all these stripes, and i am not just jumping on the bandwagon, I love your block the way it is.
I also love your fabrics. These are my kind of prints!
If you really want to know how to line some things up, stick a pin straight down thru your fabric and then guide the point thru the next piece making the pinpoint come out at the same place. Take another pin and pin, then pull out first pin.
I would be crazy if I did to much of that matchy matchy with these.
Oh and plaids...unless you are into self torture, forget matching those!
But with a sashing in between they can add so much to the look of things.
beautiful block! I love pink...and I love blue and pink together :D

Here's an idea: notice how the stripes that you've placed diagonal from each other actually match up? Why not switch them around so that the ones above and below match each other each time. That would make it look symmetric and less noticeable. You're using very pretty fabric, so it's going to look wonderful when it's done. :)

Hi Can't you turn the bottom square around? & I think that would line your lines up. (maybe)
I love the prints! :D
