Oh Dear. I quilted the designs sideways instead of longways on baby quilt.

It looks fine to me. If it really bothers you, you can always add another boarder to the top & bottom (sides) to make it longer (wider) & then everyone will think you made it that way. It is a beautiful quilt. Don't be so hard on yourself.

[QUOTE=sval;6542505]I'm just sick about it. I didn't realize until I was cutting off the excess batting and backing. I made a quilt for charity. It's a 4 patch with white blocks in between. So I purchased embroidery designs and got to it. It's just adorable. But then the light bulb went off. I stitched the cute pictures so that it's landscape instead of portrait. So when it's on the sick child's bed at the hospital the pictures are going to be going sideways instead of the length of the bed.
I did the same thing on a quilt for our bed. It had sailboats that I had FMQ'd on it and they were sideways instead of vertical. It won't matter a bit!

I am sure the child will love it, that will be there very own quilt, it will always be special and I am sure they will not care about the way you think it should be. It will be very special to them I am sure. We as the quilter or embroider worry more about it than they will. Remember finished is better than perfect.
